Is Netflix Streaming Coming Soon To Apple’s iPhone?

AppleThe guys over at TechCrunch uncovered a big story today. They said that Multichannel News wrote a story a few days ago indicating that Netflix’s Watch Instantly live stream app would be coming to Apple’s App Store (Netflix wouldn’t confirm the info, with a rep saying it declines to comment on “rumors or speculation.”). But access would probably be limited to such a wonderful feature only on WiFi and not AT&T 3G data network. If this turns out to be true, this would be another huge blow to Blockbuster video.

Blackberry Storm 2 to be released on Vodafone (Oct) and Verizon (Nov)

Storm2

Vodafone in the UK is set to release the Storm 2 (9520) in October and Verizon in the USA is still set to release the Storm 2 (9550) release around November, just in time for Black Friday. This makes sense as Christmas sales will be strong for the new version of the Storm.

Considering Verizon just dropped most of it’s smart phones offerings to $99, this information seems much more reliable.

Hands On Look With the Samsung Omnia II

Samsung

The good fellows over PhoneArena managed to get a very nice hands on with the Samsung Omnia II recently. Samsung took on the WinMo skin are nothing to balk at either. They actually do a pretty good job.  Some features include a 3.7″ 480×800 AMOLED BUT with only 65k in colors.  That is like putting Mansory Forged 9-spoke Wheels rims on a Yugo. Also, the screen is plastic and doesn’t feel as nice as a glass screen.

More features of the phone include 7.2 HSDPA, Wi-Fi, Opera Mobile, GPS, 5 megapixel camera with DVD quality video recording, DivX, XviD support and 8GB of internal storage with microSDHC expansion.
