More Proof Sprint’s HTC Touch Pro 2 Coming September 8th

After the back and forth of release dates for the Sprint HTC Touch Pro 2 being released in September, it appears we now have more confirmation that the date of September 8th, 2009, is the correct release date. So if you have been saving up those pennies for the pretty nice WinMo device, your time is right around the corner.

DIOTEK releases Finger Touch Based Multi-lingual Input Software for WinMo

Korean mobile software developer, DIOTEK has recently unveiled its new multi-lingual text entry software, SmartFinger 1.0 with a finger-touch method for touchscreen devices based on Windows Mobile. This product supports entry of English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Korean, and provides two kinds of QWERTY keyboards with key alignment optimized by each language and handwriting recognition features.

Blackberry Acquires Torch Mobile Webkit Browser

Torch Mobile made an announcement today that RIM has acquired the company. This is fantastic news for all blackberry fans as this means a real, fully functional Webkit style browser will be headed to a Blackberry near you soon. Not it does not state if the browser will be backwards compatible, but we imagine RIM will do this on the most recent devices.

Seems like BGR got another scoop today with a new feature for the Blackberry Bold: Visual Voicemail. The good news is that it arrives this week on AT&T and it is FREE!

Some features are below:

  • Store up to 40 voicemails for up to 14 days
  • Archive voicemails to device memory or on a microSD card
  • Forward voicemails as an MMS to other users or an email address
  • Save phone numbers in your Visual Voicemail inbox to your address book
  • Setup your voicemail including greeting right from the application itself

Madden 2010 Coming to iPhone

EA Sports has formally confirmed today that the franchise game Madden 2010 will be coming to the iPhone, for sure!  Judging from the screen captures, this definatly looks like a console type game and I can’t wait to take it for a spin. Only question is, how are you going to play it without a controller? We are going to have to wait to find out.
