Verizon’s HTC Touch Pro 2 Due September 11

The guys over engadget have confirmed that the HTC Touch Pro 2 is due out on September 11, 2009. So if you are a Verizon customer and have been waiting for decent qwerty device that is not a Blackberry, now is your chance to scoop it up. My friend just bought some flip phone from Verizon and he may just use that 30 trial period to exchange for this phone. I would say that would be a good move on his part.

Verizon’s HTC Touch Pro 2 Only $199

Why couldn’t the other carriers do what it appears Verizon is about to do; sell the HTC Touch Pro 2 for only $199 after $100 mail in rebate. First it was T-Mobile sticking it to us and then I thought with a glimmer of hope that Sprint would come through with their CDMA version for less money. Now Verizon decides to give a square kick in the shorts to both companies by apparently delivering the HTC Touch Pro 2 for only $199.

Nokia N900 Now Ready For Pre-order in The USA: $650

Nokia N900 Pre OrderSo if are you debating making a house or car payment or getting the Nokia N900, well your choices got a little more complicated this morning. Nokia’s Maemo running N900 just went up for sale on Nokia’s site for $650 on Pre-order. If the price doesn’t scare you and your home won’t go into foreclosure for missing a couple of payments, then its time to head on over and order your new Maemo phone.

The questions is this: Nokia rarely subsidizes their phones and will this model be no exception. Unless Nokia gives T-Mobile in the USA some serious help, and vice versa, we don’t see too many cash strapped Americans forking over a house or car payment just to have this nice albeit expensive piece of hardware. So put your hands together and pray to the mobile gods for a subsidized handset so we can all get our hands on a pretty smooth device from Nokia.
