At first I never thought I would give up my iPhone for another phone. Well I just did that last week. I just contracted with Sprint by purchasing the new HTC Hero. Honestly its hardware is superior to the iPhone and I like the fact that I can change the battery when necessary. It feels better in the palm of your hand and it is an attractive phone. The 5MP camera with autofocus and comcorder is also a fine improvement. I have always like HTC hardware, however I never liked the Windows interface, but with their Google OS, Android, you get an experience that is second to none. Owing to this I wouldn’t be surprised to see Android based phones overtake the iPhone in sales within a year. The reality is Apple is no match for the hardware manufacturers and they easily have their match on the Software side from Google, hence as a betting man Apple’s days as the leader are not too far into the future.
