Nexus One (Google Phone) price and details hit the sphere

A tipster at Gizmodo has leaked some details to the world about the new ‘Gooogle Phone’ AKA the Nexus One. Pricing has been released and it looks like this may be the official price. So the phone is manufactured by HTC, will work on any GSM network, (3G only on T-Mobile) and will be sold by Google!? Here are the details we’ve got so far:

Google will NOT call it the ‘Google Phone’ but rather the ‘Nexus One’ when it is launched.

Google press event on January 5th featuring ‘Android’

The amount of buzz Google has generated by giving out the Nexus One to their employees has been explosive. So explosive that Google seems to feel confident enough to have a head start on the CES event that is scheduled just days after Google’s event.  Google sent invitations to a lucky sum of tech sites and press organizations for an event on January 5th in their home town.

Nexus One To Hit T-Mobile on January 5th, 2010?

The peeps over at T-Mob News have stumbled upon some interesting information for the Nexus Google phone.

Our sources are confirming  a January 5th date, 9am, ordering through Google ONLY. Sadly, still no word on pricing.

T-Mobile has gone and made their expected support of the Google Phone aka Nexus One “official” this morning, albeit in a vague sort of way. According to our T-Mob News sources, through an internal system T-Mobile is reporting they are getting an Android device but won’t do any support for it other than “billing, coverage, features and rate plans. Some excerpts contain the following information:

  • Support for this device including troubleshooting and exchanges wil be managed by Google and HTC.
  • T-Mobile will offer service support including billing, coverage, featuers and rate plans.
  • Stay tuned for Additional details and StreamLine content to support the Google Android phone in early January.
  • Keep all information regarding this launch confidential until a formal announcement by Google is released.
